Top Online GP Consultation Providers

There is no denying that COVID-19 has and will change the way we deliver healthcare across the world. Digital solutions that have previously been received with scepticism and has now been our saviour in these difficult times.

Getting an appointment with your GP is not always easy and with practices being stretched to capacity, the healthcare sector is in desperate need of innovation to support the continued increase in demand.

For nearly a decade, the NHS has experienced a significant slowdown in funding growth, while demand for services – and the cost of delivering those services – has grown rapidly.

On the 7th January, the NHS long term plan was published setting out the ambition for Patients to have the right to access digital primary care services (e.g online consultations). This will be delivered by existing practices, or through one of the emerging digital-first providers.

Private online video consultations between the patient and a doctor empower patients to take control of their health care by accessing care and support from the comfort of their own home.

Choice is becoming a plenty and differentiating the right online GP online conferencing service can be a difficult.  We have compiled a list of services available now and compared the services and costs on offer.

Whilst Doctor Care Anywhere covers all the services you would want from an online healthcare provider, the ad hoc appointment price is what stops it from reaching higher up in this list. Whilst this is still beneficial for when you need a same day appointment, the essence of being able to complete a consultation from the comfort of your own home or office is missing.
